ABOUT LSAMP
NYC LSAMP is a fellowship program for second-year students who are interested in pursuing STEM majors and want to incorporate undergraduate research experience in their studies.

NYC LSAMP Fellows receive guaranteed placement with a research mentor, a research stipend, guidance and additional training from our Faculty Coordinators, and get to shape the STEM and undergraduate research communities in their home campus and throughout CUNY.

Our aim is to help diversify the nation's STEM fields and broaden undergraduate participation in research, while building a supportive student community.
Students
Students are the core of NYC LSAMP, and our program provides them various resources which aim to enhance their experience and participation in LSAMP, as well as facilitate their STEM journey through graduation and beyond.
From mentor selection, to searching and applying for external research opportunities, and transitioning into different programs on campus, we seek to curate a robust, campus-specific experience for our students, while nurturing a CUNY-wide, supportive community of undergraduate researchers and mentors.
Faculty
A significant goal of NYC LSAMP is to enhance the institutional content delivery in all STEM disciplines by providing support and resource-sharing opportunities to all CUNY faculty members interested in transforming their courses, classrooms and interpersonal engagement with evidence-based, culturally-responsive pedagogies.

As the program matures, these resources will grow to include in-person trainings and workshops provided in conjunction with NYC LSAMP's internal and external partners.
